Lamarsh Trial Results

A cool but bright start to the day greeted the 24 competitors for ETC Rd1 at Top Farm, Lamarsh.  The overnight rain made the grass on the first round a bit slippy, but it soon dried out and the scores started to tumble.  The scores were quite close within the classes all day, with Class A being won by a single point after the 24 hills.  A mere 4 points separated Andy Mount from Chris Pettitt, both in Saxo's with total scores of 35 and 39 respectively.

Cliff Morrell had never driven his Imp before the day so to score just 25 points and take the Class C was very impressive.  The overall victory on the day went to ECMC's own Leigh Trevail in the curious Hylander Luto with 21 points - hill 2 seemed to catch Leigh out as he only ever cleaned it once all day!

Robin Lines and Paul Cooledge were both trying their hand at trialling for the first time and were setting some impressively low scores for a first go at the hills, it was pretty close all day but it was Paul who took the Newcomers trophy - now to practise and beat your Dad!

As always thanks to the marshals who set up, tore down and stood out on the hills all day ensuring the competitors had fun and stayed safe - these events would not happen without you.

AMSC wins Award!!

Anglia Motor Sport Club, of which ECMC was a founder member in 2012, has been awarded Third Place in the Motor Sports Association Club of the Year awards 2015.
This is a remarkable achievement for a club which has only existed for less than 4 years, considering that the award is contested by every motor club in the UK including Northern Ireland.

It demonstrates just what can be achieved through the co-operation of the eight member clubs, and it is easy to see how much further forward club motorsport is in our area because of it.
